Paint Cells
This node allows us to create “hand-made pixel art” within Designer. We define the resolution of our work, add a supporting bitmap node, and watch our strokes transform into perfect “big pixels.”
Add a Bitmap node at input (512×512 is more than enough) and then paint small dots or strokes to see how this Paint Cells node fills automatically each cell island where you paint.
You can choose two methods:
With “Pure Black & White” method you can use very small dots and even not centered at all, and result will be pure black and white cells (no matter you use gray or black dots/strokes)
With “Maintain Grayscale” method use bigger dots and better if centered to allow for a better recognition of shape. And system will catch the gray level (even if later you can filter with a Threshold)
Thanks to Lukas Palsson and Marco Vitale for the snippets they shared with me on the Facebook “Inside the Node” group, where I proposed this exercise as a small challenge.
